Maplewood Station at Bethlehem, New Hampshire, was built in 1881 as one of two new passenger stations on the Maplewood & Bethlehem Division of the Profile & Franconia Notch Railroad, the first narrow gauge railroad in the state. From the time of its construction in 1881 through the close of the 1925 tourist season, Maplewood Station served largely to accommodate guests of the Maplewood Hotel, the “palace hotel of the White Mountains”.
